Living & working in the Hilton Head area is wonderful. As a 25 year resident, I am very familiar with the area. Hilton Head Island is one of the finest resort communities in the US.  Located on the Atlantic Ocean just north of Savannah GA, this beautiful boot-shaped island welcomes millions of tourists from around the globe each year.  It is an excellent place to visit, and an even better place to live! Less than 50 years ago, Hilton Head wasn't connected to the mainland, and yet today it is one of the world's top resorts.

HILTON HEAD WEATHER
We enjoy great year round weather with temperatures ranging from 65 – 75 degrees during the spring and fall seasons. Summer can bring temperatures into the 90’s – great weather for swimming. In the winter, temperatures can dip into the 30’s, but generally January's coldest days are in the 50’s and 60’s. Perfect weather for biking, golfing, playing tennis, and many other outdoor activities.

HILTON HEAD GOLFING
There are over 30 championship golf courses at Hilton Head. Since the first golf course opened in Sea Pines in 1961, golf has become a major draw. Golfers travel the globe to play the Island's famous courses. Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines is home of the PGA - MCI Heritage Classic, which has been host to the greatest names in golf, such as Nicklaus, Palmer, Love, Norman and Stewart.

Hilton Head fairways are famous for their spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, scenic marshes, and maritime forests. There are many public and private courses in the area, with a wide variety of golf packages. Greens fees range from moderate to high in this prestigious golf community, but well worth the price.

FUN ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN ON HILTON HEAD
Dolphin and sunset cruises
- Highly recommended.  During the dolphin cruise, dolphins swim right up to the boat making this a fun experience for the children and adults. Bring the camera along.

Adventure Cove - this fun park includes minature golf, laser tag, video machines, bumper cars and a virtual reality rollercoaster!

Miniature Golf – World-class miniature golf courses for practicing the real thing.  Even expert putters will face a challenge with some of the sand and water hazards.  Some courses are built around beautiful waterfalls.

Water Fun Park - A park that has three giant waterslides for the daring and a small pool with animal slides for the children.

Hilton Head Dining
Hilton Head boasts some of the finest dining in the Southeast with over 250 award-winning restaurants featuring extensive menus.  During the summer, many restaurants offer diners live music and entertainment while overlooking the ocean. Whether you're craving local seafood, Southern cooking, or something a bit more exotic, you'lll be sure to find what you want. I'm always available to recommend personal favorites!

Hilton Head Shopping
Shopping is a favorite pastime on the island.  You will find some of the best outlet mall shopping in the United States as well as many specialty shops and boutiques.

You can find a variety of wildlife such as starfish, sand dollars and hermit crabs on the beaches. Female endangered Loggerhead Sea Turtles come ashore each summer to build nests and lay eggs in the sand.

All of the beaches are public, but beach access is often private.  The town provides access to the following five beaches that also offer restrooms, changing areas and sand showers: Lane Beach, off South Forest Beach Drive; Coligny Beach Park, off Coligny Circle; Driessen Beach Park, at the end of Bradley Beach Road; Folly Field Beach Park, off Folly Field Road; and Islanders Beach Park off Folly Field Road. Many of the beaches have metered spaces for parking.

The Arts
Many top-notch artists call Hilton Head home so you will find several award- winning art galleries and artist studios that specialize in oil paintings, watercolors, handmade crafts and folk art.  The Arts Center for Coastal Carolina offers quality theater, musical concerts, dance performances and visual arts exhibitions throughout the year.
